Statement on Equality
Lubin & Meyer has long recognized the importance of diversity and inclusion in all of its employment and client practices, activities and community involvement. Lubin & Meyer is an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
Lubin & Meyer represents clients without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status or immigration status, and based solely on the legal merits of their claim.
Lubin & Meyer recruits and rewards its employees based on capability and performance — regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, lifestyle, age, educational background, national origin, religion or physical ability.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
This commitment to diversity and inclusion was set by founding partner, Drew Meyer, who has advocated for inclusivity with regard to race, creed, gender and sexual orientation in both personal and professional settings. Meyer and his firm have actively worked to create a community of inclusion — embracing the diversity of the firm’s employees and its many clients of varying race, ethnicity, social background, religion, gender, age, physical ability, sexual orientation, veteran status, and national origin.
As a leader in the Boston not-for-profit community, Meyer has made diversity and inclusivity a priority. During his 16 years on the board of Suffolk University 10 years as chairman, Meyer:
- Appointed the first woman president of the university
- Appointed first woman and person of color as dean of the law school
- Appointed the first woman dean of the college of arts and sciences
- Appointed the first woman provost of the university
- Increased diversity by appointing more women to the board of trustees than any other board in the university’s history.
Doing More
With an increased awareness of the current need for social reforms, Lubin & Meyer remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting equality, inclusivity and diversity in all of its activities.
